   This judge was set up to have a restricted ALLOW list for only Diplomacy Direct members. Later, Dipsters were added to the allowed list. More recently there hasn't been much activity. There are no active games, and one game waiting (since August) for more players.

   Is a judge with a restricted list of allowed players something we need? Is the fact that games are only advertised on closed locations enough to keep non-members out?

   If folks believe that public judges (like USAL which runs on the same box) are sufficient for our needs, I'm tempted to close down USDD.

   Given the new requirement for active Dipsters to GM a game every year, I'd say it is worth keeping USDD online. It would be nice to not have to screen the players before a gamestart to make sure they are actually Dipsters.

   The flip side to this is that someone needs to maintain the ALLOW list. The current maintainers are Todd L. and Alan M.

   What is the current process for verifying Dipster membership before a game on a public judge? Is there any process beyond the assumption that the games are set NO LIST and the adverts are only published to members?

   Well, we've heard from Alan M. about his situation recently. Todd may get more excited about the hobby now that he's got a local game every month.

   My recommendation would be give it a couple months. There's a bit of a transition in progress. :)
